GTTPP can give you FREE nationally recognised pre-vocational training that is linked to an Australian Apprenticeship pathway to help you gain an Australian Apprenticeship or help you find an Australian School-based Apprenticeship.
A GTTPP participant must:
- be genuinely interested in participating in the programme
- commit to completing nationally accredited pre-vocational training or an Australian School-based Apprenticeship
- make the best use of the learning opportunities
- willingly undertake the training and support offered by the GTTPP provider
- ensure Centrelink activity testing compliance requirements are satisfied if undertaking pre-vocational training whilst on Centrelink benefits.
Eligibility
To participate in GTTPP, Participants must be one of the following:
- an Australian citizen
- a permanent resident of Australia
- a holder of a permanent Australian Visa; or
- the holder of a New Zealand passport who has been a resident in Australia for at least 6 months prior to commencing the programme; and
- interested in undertaking pre-vocational training
- interested in gaining an Australian Apprenticeship or Australian School-based Apprenticeship in the trades
Please note that applicants who are eligible for the Australian Apprenticeships Access Programme may not be eligible for this programme.
SkillsPlus has been appointed by the Department of Education, Science and Training as the Broker for Victoria. SkillsPlus will be engaging local organisations known as GTTPP Providers to deliver the training in communities all over Victoria. They know all about local employment and training requirements and will provide you with the type of training that is needed for a particular trade.

GTTPP is free to eligible participants.
