Success Story

Making up lost ground

Max, a student aged 15 was attending a local High School but moved away from the area with his mother and her new partner. After few months Max decided to moved back to Frankston to live with his older brother, who tried to get him back into his old school. The school felt he had missed too much to return to his old class and approached SkillsPlus to help. Max was placed in the CGEA program and worked really hard to catch up to his peers. He achieved his Year 10 and SkillsPlus was able to negotiate with his old school for him to be reinstated and go on to study Year 11 VCE. He continues to perform well and stays in touch with SkillsPlus.
